BRICS International Sports Development Center
BRICS International Sports Development Center & World Council of Indigenous Games (WIG) Partnership
December 9, 2025 — The BRICS International Sports Development Center and the World Council of Indigenous Games (WIG) have signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen global cooperation in sports, indigenous games, and cultural development.
Signed by Mr. Viktor Vladimirovich Lisin (BRICS) and Dr. Ramya, PhD (WIG), the MoU focuses on:
- >> Joint sports events, tournaments, and cultural festivals
- >> Promotion of indigenous games on the global stage
- >> Knowledge exchange in sports science, research, and physical education
- >> Development of collaborative programs benefiting youth and communities
Both organizations will work together to advance international sports diplomacy, foster cultural preservation, and promote unity across nations.
Mr. Viktor Lisin, President of BRICS International Sports Development Center, expressed: “This partnership strengthens our vision of global sports unity. By joining forces with WIG, we aim to elevate indigenous games to the world stage while fostering meaningful development for youth and communities.”
Dr. Ramya, PhD, General Secretary of WIG, stated: “Indigenous games represent cultural identity, resilience, and heritage. Through this MoU, we are bringing these traditions into international recognition while building strong collaborations with BRICS nations.”
